Carlos Santana early years
Santana Carlos Augusto Alves (born July 20, 1947 in Autlan de Navarro, Jalisco) is a Mexican musician and guitarist who influenced the rock music through his music direction, the Latin rock.
1960 moves his family to San Francisco. Carlos follows them a year later and earned his money in striptease clubs. His role models were, inter alia, Gabor Szabo, Bola Sete and Wes Montgomery. In San Francisco arrived, he soon found soon friends and founded 1966 with Gregg Rolie, Gus Rodriguez, Cara Michael Bello and Danny Haro, the Santana Blues Band. Supposedly, the name initially chosen only because the local musicians union demands that each band must have a head.
